Hi! My name is Jennifer and I am the person behind JENNIFEROHPHOTOGRAPHY and Project Memories! Since a young age I have been lucky enough to have been able to travel the world and see places that would probably otherwise have stayed a secret for me.
Around 2017 I got into video and photography but never really did anything with a lot of the material I filmed and photographed. Which now that I look back at it is such a shame and I want to change that!
A few years ago I was thinking of creating a project of videos and photos that would be called project memories that I would upload to a few spaces on social media. Sadly I never got around to starting that outside of one promotional video.
The idea never left though, and now that I found a new purpose for it I actually hope I will be able to finally set this project off this year.
Around 2022 my granddad got diagnosed with Alzheimer/Dementia disease, and due to the nature of my job i’ve always felt a bit bummed I was and am never really part of the taking care part of him. Where possible and when I am home I do try and visit him as much as I can but flying up and down for just a visit is obviously not as easy.
Project Memories is going to change that. I have been involved in raising money for Alzheimer Nederland before. They use a system where I can raise money digitally that goes straight into their accounts, however unfortunately they only do this once a year for a week and not year round. It also does not always work for people outside of the Netherlands so with many people I know from abroad it was limited with how far that could go.
Now this website has a donation page where people can leave donations all year round! Unfortunately it’s not possible to send the money straight away to Alzheimer Nederland so instead every month I will be doing a show and tell proof to show the donations being send forward and how much it was.
To clarify: I AM NOT AFFILIATED WITH THE CHARITY DIRECTLY OR SPEAKING IN THEIR NAME, I AM DOING THIS OFF OF MY OWN ACCORD BECAUSE I WANT TO DO SOMETHING MEANINGFUL TO HELP PUT ALZHEIMER MORE ON THE MAP.
